Duo, un microcosmos arquitectónico

Esta amplia vivienda familiar se encuentra en la espesura de un bosque junto al lago Ontario, en Canadá. El arquitecto Omar Gandhi ha revestido el interior con paneles de roble y piedra caliza, haciéndose eco del paisaje y los materiales del entorno.

Vibia The Edit - Duo, architectural microcosm

A través de tres distintos niveles conectados por una escalera curvada, el diseño interior acompaña la pendiente del terreno que ocupa esta residencia. En la planta superior, las ventanas de madera de la cocina y el comedor brindan una hermosa vista panorámica sobre el paisaje.

La presencia de la madera refleja la calidez de la luz natural y artificial en todos los espacios habitables de la casa, donde Duo juega un destacado papel. Esta colección diseñada por Ramos & Bassols para Vibia combina una carcasa metálica mate con un cálido revestimiento interior de roble. Alineadas en el techo de la cocina, cuatro luminarias en versión semiesférica iluminan la encimera, mientras que la versión cilíndrica hace lo propio en otros espacios de la vivienda.

El revestimiento interior de roble se aprecia al acceder a la cocina desde el nivel inferior a través de la escalera que conduce a este espacio, cálidamente iluminado gracias a la envoltura de madera de Duo.

La colección Duo actúa como metáfora de este proyecto arquitectónico que crea un cálido ambiente con unas sorprendentes vistas, claramente definidas por la distribución interior y su relación con el exterior. Otro ejemplo es la escalera; su barandilla curvada descansa sobre listones de madera angulares cuya disposición permite el paso de la luz durante todo el día sin interferir en la visión diáfana de todos los espacios. Además, los altos ventanales que reciben la luz parecen enmarcar las copas de los árboles y el cielo abierto.

Texturas cálidas y colores terrosos bañados por luz natural y artificial habitan los interiores de esta vivienda. De día y de noche, todo el interior de la casa luce en un resplandeciente dorado rojizo.
