Luca Peralta Studio, con sede en Roma, se inspiró en las impresionantes vistas al mar para la ambiciosa rehabilitación de Villa Rihanna, una residencia privada en la isla europea de Malta.

Con el objetivo de privilegiar las vistas y desdibujar los límites entre el interior y el exterior, el diseño de esta casa está definido por dos planos horizontales paralelos a la línea del horizonte.

El plano superior es un elegante techo en voladizo, mientras que el inferior hace las veces de altiplano, de forma que la planta baja parece suspendida sobre el paisaje.

Esta creación de Antoni Arola y Enric Rodríguez se distingue por sus delgadas cañas, que parecen brotar del suelo, evocando la forma orgánica del bambú, la planta en que los diseñadores se inspiraron y que da nombre a esta lámpara minimalista.

Con luces LED incrustadas a lo largo de su caña, estas luminarias proyectan luz cálida en el área de la piscina, en cuya superficie se reflejan como elementos que caracterizan este singular paisaje.

A lo largo de un largo pasillo cercano, varias lámparas Meridiano. Este diseño de Jordi Vilardell y Meritxell Vidal que consiste en una pantalla esférica formada por varillas en disposición radial tiene una doble función, al actuar como iluminación exterior y asiento.

En la terraza, su fuente de luz LED proyecta la sombra de las varillas a ras de suelo, creando un llamativo ritmo de luces y sombras.

La parte superior de estas luminarias está recubierta de espuma, convirtiéndose en el asiento ideal para disfrutar de la vista del jardín mediterráneo que se abre frente a ellas.
