Look minimal en Londres

Las nuevas oficinas de la sede de Gemcorp en Londres se encuentran en el último piso del nuevo edificio de Queen Street. Una lámpara Match de color gris, diseñada por Jordi Vilardell y Meritxell Vidal, ilumina la mesa que preside la entrada de Gemcorp HQ. Así mismo, la lámpara realza las elaboradas texturas y los nobles materiales usados en el proyecto para reflejar el principal enfoque de esta empresa de inversión: los recursos naturales. La directora de este proyecto, Tamara Muradova, y su estudio, Archiproba, han usado en diferentes ocasiones las infinitas configuraciones que ofrece Match, combinando colores y ángulos para conseguir una perfecta armonía en todos los espacios de las oficinas.

La lámpara colgante Match, una instalación que puede ser configurada por los diseñadores a través de vibia.com,  crea una presencia escultural que confluye con la decoración. El sistema de iluminación se basa en sus varillas de aluminio y unos terminales LED que forman una escultura de luz que alumbra los elementos espaciales y decorativos. Colocada en la recepción, como en la imagen, ilumina ampliamente el ambiente, oscuro por naturaleza ya que cada LED de 3W produce 100 lumens.

La lámpara actúa como “una tela de araña que envuelve el espacio, mientras que a la vez se mantiene completamente invisible”, dice Muradova. “En algunos casos, seleccionamos lámparas blancas que desaparecen del espacio según el ángulo desde donde se mire.” Optar por una gama de colores basada en el blanco y el negro podría haber creado un ambiente apagado, pero las definidas líneas horizontales dan al espacio un look minimalista lleno de personalidad.

La lámpara colgante Match es una de las pocas excepciones que añade al proyecto un detalle vertical y diferencial para separar las zonas. “Estábamos impresionados con las líneas de Match mucho antes de empezar a trabajar en este proyecto,” asegura Muradova. “Me gusta que sea geométricamente compleja y que, a la vez, dé una sensación de simplicidad”.
