Recorriendo el mundo con Vibia

Cualquier amante de los viajes tiene siempre en mente su próxima aventura. Pero, cuando se tiene el mundo a los pies, ¿qué destino puede satisfacer plenamente ese espíritu viajero?

Porque sabemos que un bello alojamiento es una parte importante en cualquier escapada, y haciéndonos eco de varias ideas, hemos seleccionado algunos de nuestros hoteles de diseño favoritos alrededor del mundo. Estos elegantes espacios son fuentes de inspiración únicas y proporcionan el impulso necesario para lanzarse a intrépidas exploraciones

Glance Hotel

Situado en el histórico barrio florentino de San Lorenzo, el Hotel Glance combina una estética contemporánea con referencias al rico legado artístico de la ciudad, como así lo demuestran las paredes de cada piso, revestidas de enormes imágenes de icónicas esculturas renacentistas.

En el hall, en el muro situado frente a una de estas imágenes, encontramos el candelabro de pared Set, de Xuclà, una composición personalizada de piezas rectangulares, que genera y refleja la luz. Su fascinante juego de luces y sombras lo convierte en una moderna escultura, que actúa como contrapunto de las imágenes antiguas situadas en el muro opuesto.

También en el hall, colgando sobre el mostrador de recepción, encontramos la lámpara Slim de Vibia, firmada por Jordi Vilardell. Sus largos y estilizados conos con difusores de vidrio prensado definen el espacio, sumergiéndolo en un suave baño de acogedora luz.

Quirk Hotel

El Hotel Quirk es un hotel-boutique histórico, situado en el barrio de las artes y el diseño de Richmond, Virginia. Construido en 1916, el edificio que en otros tiempos albergara unos grandes almacenes, se caracteriza por sus arcos de piedra caliza y sus elevadas bóvedas de arista, que se muestran en todo su esplendor en la zona abierta de la recepción, sobre cuyo mostrador de bienvenida flota Wireflow, lámpara colgante de Arik Levy para Vibia. Su diseño tridimensional y minimalista, con sus delgados cables, complementa la airosa estética del espacio y permite -gracias a su transparencia- una visión completa de los elementos arquitectónicos del techo.

Parador de Cáceres

Situado en el Oeste de España, el Parador de Cáceres ocupa un antiguo palacio renacentista rehabilitado en el centro histórico de esta ciudad, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO y famosa por sus murallas moriscas del siglo XII y sus adoquinadas calles medievales.

El diseño del hotel conjuga a la perfección tradición y modernidad, incluso en su tranquila zona de comedor al aire libre. Contrastando con los muros de ladrillos de la antigua fachada, que actúa como telón de fondo, las lámparas Halley -de Jordi Vilardell y Meritxell Vidal– coronan las mesas del jardín. Recordando un cometa que surca el cielo nocturno, su delgado arco de luz se funde en el bucólico ambiente e ilumina delicadamente cada mesa.

Marktgasse Hotel Zurich

Entre las sinuosas y estrechas calles del centro histórico de la ciudad, el Marktgasse Hotel Zürich ocupa dos edificios del siglo XV. Cuidadosamente rehabilitado para conservar los detalles de época y su carácter histórico, el Marktgasse ofrece un ecléctico maridaje entre tradición y modernidad. En su elegante comedor, la sutileza de la lámpara colgante Wireflow, de Arik Levy, enfatiza el espacio. Colgando de finos cables negros -en alusión al esquema cromático del espacio- su presencia es, al mismo tiempo, imponente y sutil.[
