Tendencias 2018: la perspectiva de una diseñadora de Filadelfia

Cada año, nuevos colores, modelos y sistemas para el desarrollo sostenible de los espacios públicos de uso profesional ofrecen un reflejo de un mundo en permanente transformación y de las necesidades de los propietarios de edificios. Dejando de lado todas las palabras de moda e informes de tendencias, hemos preguntado a Amy Cuker -directora de Down2Earth Interior Design, un estudio de diseño en Filadelfia dedicado a la creación de trabajos de interiorismo cuya principal característica radica en su belleza, sostenibilidad y bajo mantenimiento- qué hay en su «radar de tendencias» este año y cómo esto puede afectar a sus proyectos actuales.

Tendencia: la audacia es hermosa

Amy: Basta con mirar los colores del año. Recientemente, hemos hablado sobre todos los aspectos del color Pantone del año, el ultravioleta, que está causando sensación.

No solo eso, sino que el color del año de Benjamin Moore es un rojo ardiente, llamado Caliente AF-290, mientras que Sherwin Williams ha llamado Oceanside SW 6.496 al color del año 2018, un profundo azul oceánico.

Este llamativo paisaje de color se convierte en el telón de fondo perfecto para formas geométricas rotundas en blanco reluciente y plateado.

Tendencia en la aplicación

Ahora, nuestra empresa está trabajando en el diseño de un vestíbulo para una clínica veterinaria, cuyo diseño deberá transmitir el uso de conocimiento y tecnología de vanguardia. Funcionalmente, nuestro objetivo es lograr que el diseño sea duradero y de bajo mantenimiento. Estéticamente, el aspecto debería ser cálido y atemporal, aprovechando las tendencias que, con certeza, van a perdurar. Y, si bien no seguimos las tendencias per se, nuestra idea sobre el color intenso, es la de un azul real, inspirado en el logotipo de la clínica veterinaria y en el collar de uno de sus pacientes caninos preferidos: Blue.

Tendencia: Formas orgánicas y energía sostenible

Amy: En contraposición con el marcado azul intenso, optaremos por  lámparas de techo que definirán acogedoras áreas de asientos en una sala de espera más grande. En este sentido, la forma orgánica de Ameba y las lámparas colgantes Rhythm Horizontal de Vibia son ideales para crear una presencia a nivel del techo.

Tendencia en la aplicación

A la vista de la creciente conciencia ambiental en todo el mundo y de la demanda de electricidad 24 horas al día 7 días a la semana, en una clínica veterinaria la eficiencia energética es prioritaria. Como muchas de las colecciones de Vibia, Ameba cuenta con bombillas fluorescentes compactas que ahorran energía, lo que la convierte en una colección mucho más eficiente que un sistema de iluminación a través de lámparas halógenas o incandescentes. Además, Ameba es compatible con los sistemas de atenuación avanzados, permitiendo utilizar una luz que se adapta al ambiente y a la hora del día, con la consiguiente reducción del consumo energético.

Tendencia: el papel pintado vuelve a lo grande

Amy: Hoy en día, los adhesivos son más fáciles de retirar que nunca, lo que hace que los propietarios de edificios piensen menos en dar el paso. Tras la sobrecarga del papel pintado de los años setenta, nuestros ojos han disfrutado de un merecido descanso y estamos nuevamente preparados para disfrutar de algunas muestras, esta vez algo más extravagantes.

Tendencia en la aplicación

Para los baños de esta clínica veterinaria, hemos elegido un papel pintado que, en forma de dibujos animados, retrata perros corriendo enloquecidos. La muestra divertida y dinámica de este papel pintado combina a la perfección con los apliques limpios y minimalistas, que refuerzan el objetivo de la marca: la calidez con alta tecnología.
